#MunicipalElections : Manitouwadge Candidates
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Municipal Elections will be held across the province, Monday, October 22, 2018. Residents in Manitouwadge have a plethora of candidates to choose from including incumbents and members from past councils (some who lost their seats in 2014) as well as nominees throwing their hats into the ring for the first time.
Though municipal elections also include nominees for school board trustees, each of the three school boards in Manitouwadge had only one nominee step forward resulting in the individuals being proclaimed to their seats. The School Board Trustees for Manitouwadge who will hold seats until 2022 are: Christine Major for the Superior-Greenstone District School Board (English Public); Kristy Lachance for the Superior North Catholic District School Board (English Catholic); and Kristy Tourout for the Conseil Scolaire du Grand Nord de L’Ontario (French Public).
Manitouwadge residents are tasked with electing, for Town Council, one mayor and four councillors to represent the communities interests from December 1, 2018 until November 14, 2022 from among the following individuals:
